Technical features

 

Tubular positive plates

These incorporates a special grid construction casted from selenium lead alloy with highly porous gauntlets that retain active material.

 

Negative plates with ”SKY-TECH formula” active material

designed to have service life consistent with tubular positive plates

 

Micro porous Polyethylene sleeved Seperators

These avoids transfer of material between plates and virtually eliminates electrical short circuits for larger battery life.

 

Ceramic Vent plugs

allow gasses to escape freely and traps water loss thereby reducing frequency of topping up

 

Special Tin Alloy

Inter cell welds made by Japanese “Miyachi Controller”, provides maximum weld strength with low resistance connection path for maximum output.

 

Polypropylene cover & container

This assures reserve electrolyte capacity at variable temperatures.

 

Ready to use Filled & factory charged

all our batteries are filled with high quality acid and appropriately charged at factory with the help of heavy duty micro controller based automatic chargers. SKY BATTERIES tm was first ever to start the trend of “green plate battery formation with multi-step current formation protocol”

 

Battery Life

 

Battery cyclic life is highly dependent on the depth of discharge that the battery experiences during each cycle. The number of cycles related to depth of discharge for SKY-TUBE’s Tall Tubular (TT) and Flat Tubular (FT) type of batteries is shown in graph

Battery Discharge

 

The capacity of SKY-TUBE Battery is the amount of electrical energy that can be obtained from a full charged cell. The capacity value is dependent on discharge current, the temperature during discharge and final cut off voltage which is shown in the graph.
